Personal Training Information

I have been competing since 1998 and have always placed in the top 5. I am and have been a personal trainer since 1999 specializing working with bodybuilding and figure competitors. I have trained Pro, Pro qualified, and National Champions such as Tim Osking, Nicky Osking, Jamie McLaughlin, Corina Schmidt and more. I have worked with individuals wanting to go farther on stage that just regional shows, and I have worked with individuals just wanting to step on stage because they have something to prove to themselves because they have achieved a serious weight loss, overcome an injury or illness, or just want to know what it feels like. But, I do not stop there; I do enjoy and work with individuals to achieve their goals from weight loss to weight gain, from changing their way of life to achieving their goals by resculpting their bodies and frame of mind. I have worked with many individuals from all different walks of life to include the normal person that just wants to change by putting on lean muscle to athletes from all sports. I will help you achieve your goals by helping you with nutrition, workouts, and rest - those three go hand in hand, if one is missing you will not achieve your goals.

Achieving your goals is not easy, if it was there would be no need for personal trainers. It is hard work that you have to put effort to achieve that goal. My philosophy on training is simple: hard, heavy, and intense to the point of exhausting the muscle. My techniques is to work the muscle to exhaustion using the right weight and proper form, not to tear the muscle up to be in pain for days or work the muscle to failure to the point of inury. When you have completed your workout, you should feel like there is no possible way you could have worked harder during the past 45 to 70 minutes. Regardless of whether you are bulking up or trimming down, you always want to try to lift as heavy as possible while maintaining good form and staying safe. I will show you how to achieve your goals with proper training and correct form.

Like I said, It is hard work but achievable; I am able to offer you a chance to achieve your goals through nutrition, training, and rest at an affordable price. I have different programs for different people, depending on what you want to achieve; you must be advised that I do not believe in Fad diets, I believe in a balance programs that have greater results. The following items are just a few items I offer:
- Nutrition counseling for the general population or for competition
- Resistance training for the general population or for competition
- Posing classes for bodybuilding and figure either in a classroom environment or one-on-one training
- Posing routines
- Injury rehab and prevention
- Body fat computations with calipers, not electric impedence
*Please do not contact me and ask about illegal drugs and nutrition*

For personal training, I am an independant contractor at Silva's Elite 24 hour Fitness and Tanning located at 2902 Eubank, Alb, NM. Because I am an independant contractor, I am able to offer the prices at a lower cost compared at some gyms that offer training at a higher cost. I do not go to other gyms Contact me for an appointment to schedule your introduction. If I am unable to help you because of personality differences, time differences, or I am not qualified; I will recommend someone who will be able to.

In choosing a Personal Trainer, choose one that will assist you achieve your goals. Get references, check to see if they are certified by a creditated organization, how much experience they have, etc. The personal trainer you hire should be in tune with you; he or she should take the time to find out your past medical history to include any past injuries, heart conditions, workout experience, etc. During your workout, he or she should be focused on you and not other trainers, other athletes, or themselves. Your gym time should be just that: your time to get healthy; your time to build the best physique you can.

Word of advice for all athletes, the novice gym rat or the experienced athlete concerning trainers; listen to one trainer and one trainer only, not doing so will lead to confusion and failure. Do what he or she tells you to do, if they tell you to do two cardio's a day, then do so. If you are on a certain program, follow it. I have seen many people not achieve there goals by not following instructions given to them by the very trainer they have hired and then blame that trainer for not achieving their goals. The individual does 90% of the work, not the trainer. An experienced trainer will have different programs for individuals, if one program does not work then a trainer will be able to give the client a different program. Achieving your goals takes time, give it time. Many people think you can loose 20 lbs in 2 weeks and still hold muscle, not true; to see realistic changes will take about 12 weeks.

Look for my nutrition classes that will be offered for general population and for the competitor.
